
HOW A HAUT ROUTE CAN LOOK LIKE!
Day 1:
Argentière, Argentière Hut
Elevation gain: 200 m / Elevation - 3000 m.
Meet at 8:00 at the station of Martigny to get to know each other and verify the kit. We reach Argentière by train or private bus. After two beautiful descents of the Aiguille des Grands Montets, we do some transceiver exercises and we go up to the Argentiere hut (2771m) where we spend the night.
On the road to Zermatt!
Day 2:
Argentière Hut-Trient Hut
Elevation gain: 1100m/Dénivelé -: 400m.
We will wear the seal skins from the hut to reach the Col du Chardonnet (3323m),
descend to the upper glacier of Saleina, then mount to the window of Saleina (3261m)
before getting to the Trient hut.
Day 3:
Hut du Trient - Hut Mont-Fort
Elevation gain: 500 m / Elevation - 2100 m.
Passage through the window of Chamois (2985m). From there we descend
into val Arpette through the neck of Ecandies to reach 1300 m.
We go lower into Champex, where a bus takes us from Champex to Chable, the ski lift us to the summit of Mont Fort.
We ski down to the Mont Fort hut (2457m).
Day 4:
Cabane Mont-fort-Shack Prafleuri
Elevation gain: 1000 m / Descent - 800 m.
From the Mont-Fort hut 2457m, 2940m Col de la Chaux, neck Momin,
we climb atop Rosablanche (3336 m). Finally a nice descent and we are at the Prafleuri hut (2662 m).
Day 5:
Hut Prafleuri-Dix hut.
Elevation gain: 700 m / Elevation - 400 m.
Today we climb the Lac des Dix. We must optimize our energy and follow the tracks for skiing.
The Chat pass crosse through the hut and we are right there.
Day 6:
Dix Cabane Hut - Hut des Vignettes
Elevation gain: 950 m / Elevation - 640 m.
This is a landmark step that awaits us this morning: climbing up the famous Pigna d'Arolla (3730 m) in the wall of the Serpentine. Then a beautiful descent leads us to Vignettes (3160 m),
a real eagle's nest in the heart of the mountains.
Day 7:
Vignettes Hut Zermatt
Elevation gain: 1,053 m / Descent - 2346 m.
Beautiful glacier area. We leave early from the Vignettes hut, then we climb three tops:
The Bishop (3392 m) by the glacier of Mont Collon, Col du Mont Brulé(3213 m.), Col Valpelline (3518 m.).
Stunning views of the imperial crown (Matterhorn, Dt White, Weisshorn, Dt d’Hérens...)
Beautiful descent to Zermatt (1616 m.) through the Glacier Stocki that leads us directly to the end of our adventure.

This is just a sample program for the Haute Route Chamonix / Zermatt ski touring. The Guide reserves the right to modify it at any time depending on the level of participants, weather, or snow conditions.
It only remains for us to reach Martigny end of the day, or according to your desires, to sleep an extra night in Zermatt. With the head still up there full of memories ...
